Summit Matsu Chilling Systems case study featured in The Australian Building Services Journal

The Coast Golf Club’s heritage listed club house which was built in the 1890s is now used as much for its function centre as for its golf club. The Club had tried to cool some of the smaller back of house areas with small split system air conditioners, but the close distance to the ocean had taken its toll corroding the systems. There was so much corrosion to the condenser coils and cabinets on the outdoor units, on some units after only 3-4 years, that it was clear that a standard direct expansion package air conditioning system or standard chiller would only have a limited life.

Summit Matsu helps keep Australian Growers Cool

In a climate as harsh and variable as Australia’s, Summit Matsu are helping growers of fresh produce keep the temperature down with chillers designed for the unique demands of the country’s conditions. Keeping temperatures at a constant level is a challenge faced by the growers of fresh produce nation wide. With high humidity and highly variable weather patterns between seasons, produce which is sensitive to ambient temperatures during the growth and processing stages is at risk of being untenable without a reliable and exact cooling system.

Summit Matsu Chilling Systems featured in high profile Australian industry publication

With industrial customers it is very easy to put a dollar value on chiller performance. It’s not the cost of the chiller that is important, but the $10,000 per day or $100,000 per day of lost production if the chiller fails. Industrial customers tend to be

very quality focused.....

Industrial chiller company puts experience into HVAC

Success in providing chillers for the Gold Coast Desalination Plant in Queensland and for the Boddington Gold Mine expansion project in Western Australia have heralded the entry of Summit Matsu Chilling Systems into the HVAC sector.

The desalination plant is the largest desalination plant on the Eastern Seaboard and part of the construction involves the boring of two marine tunnels each 2.2km in length. When completed the plant will produce 125ML / day of fresh water.

We differ from other chiller manufacturers by:

Reducing power consumption - We beat most other chiller manufacturers on power consumption hands down. Talk to us about the power usage of our units. Refcomp reciprocating and screw compressors have COP's much better than other reciprocating compressors, scroll compressors or even screws.

The quality of our suppliers - we use only the highest quality components from ISO certified suppliers like Thermokey, Refcomp, and Grundfos.

Our experience - There is no more qualified chiller company in Australia. Summit Matsu engineers have been manufacturing chillers for over 40 years, and have also manufactured most of the input components like compressors, evaporators, condensers and motors. Please see our Company Profile.

Our technical expertise - for 40 years we have been solving engineering problems and providing customised chillers for complex installations - this has translated to product improvements in our chiller range. Please see Industries Served.

Our research and development - we have a new product pipeline based on chiller projects developed for specific customers. Can't find what your looking for here? Contact Us and we will be happy to discuss any unique requirements you have.
