Summit Matsu joins Thrill Ride at Dreamworld

The Mick Doohan Motocoaster is one of Dreamworld’s most popular extreme thrill rides at the resort. With riders held in by a unique restraint system of life sized replicas of 500cc racing bikes, the rollercoaster attracts hundreds of patrons on a daily basis. With a 605 metre track, eighteen extreme turns and a maximum speed of 72km/h, the ride places high demand on its hydraulic system.

The chiller Summit Matsu provided is used to cool the hydraulic oil in the system that drives the rollercoaster. Bob Tan, from the resort emphasised the importance of the chiller “it’s essential, otherwise the oil gets too hot and the ride can’t operate.”

Summit Matsu chillers chosen for reliability at Perth Radiation Oncology.

Summit Matsu Chilling Systems has provided Perth Radiation Oncology with a custom specified chiller to cool their linear accelerator which is the key machine used in radiation therapy for cancer patients.

Providing the best care and treatment for cancer patients is a reputation that Perth Radiation and Oncology prides itself on. At the core of the radiation treatments that the clinic offers is the linear accelerator (linac) which speeds particles to an extent at which they are able to pass through the body to kill cancerous cells. It is a process that requires extremely high voltage and generates an enormous amounts of heat as a by product.

Summit Matsu Chilling Systems and The Coast Golf Club case study features in The Building Services Journal

(The following case study was published in The Australian Building Services Journal)

When The Coast Golf Club needed to install an air conditioning system they faced more than the usual challenges. Situated at beautiful Little Bay just east of Sydney's suburb of Port Botany, the golf club’s heritage listed building had never had a large scale air-conditioning system for the club house and function centre. Situated 12km south of the Sydney CBD, the course is located on what was once Prince Henry Hospital. Opened in May of 1965, the club house has seen major renovations since being converted from the laundry building of the hospital and now houses The Coast Restaurant which caters for a variety of functions.

With considerable residential developments close to completion near by, the club sought to meet the demands of their increasingly event focused clientele by installing a system that could not only cool but reduce the humidity which caused considerable discomfort in the summer months. Bringing in well respected and innovative Australian companies Quantum Air-conditioning and Summit Matsu Chilling Systems, The Coast Golf Club was able to install a custom made chilled water air conditioning system to withstand the demands of the coastal environment.
